Service Description

A Mental Health Diagnostic Evaluation is a comprehensive assessment conducted to understand an individual’s emotional, psychological, and behavioral health. This evaluation involves gathering detailed information about the individual's history, current challenges, and overall functioning. The process typically includes: Clinical Interview: A thorough discussion of symptoms, personal history, medical background, and lifestyle factors. Screening Tools and Assessments: Standardized questionnaires or tests to assess specific areas of mental health. Observation: Analysis of behavior, mood, and communication during the evaluation. Diagnosis: Identification of any mental health conditions using established criteria, such as the DSM-5. Recommendations: Development of a tailored treatment plan that may include therapy or other interventions. (Therapist cannot recommend or prescribe medication, but can offer referrals to you for evaluation for medication).
